Does CT Pride pull athletes away from their Fall teams and national championship runs?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. We believe in supporting Connecticut’s fall football programs and their mission to compete for league and national championships. Athletes who advance to Pop Warner or AYF Nationals are not permitted to participate in Team CT practices during their postseason run. Our involvement is limited to team-building opportunities and school visits.

Is CT Pride primarily about recruiting athletes for prep schools?

Accepted Answer

Not at all. While we provide athletes and families with opportunities to connect with prep and private school coaches, we do not recruit athletes for those schools. Every athlete’s situation is different, and we believe decisions should be made based on what is best for each individual student-athlete.If an athlete is thriving academically, athletically, and personally at their current school, we encourage them to stay and continue to grow there. For others, a prep or private school opportunity may be the right fit.There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Our athletes always come first.

Like any growing organization, we’ve heard our share of criticism and rumors: “They won’t last.” “They can’t coach.” “There’s no development.” “All they do is grab talent.”We believe the best response isn’t arguing with rumors, it’s doing the work and letting the results speak for themselves.We’ve been blessed to work with 2,500+ athletes, and our focus has always been on developing the whole person, not just the football player. We want every athlete who comes through our program to leave better prepared, more confident, more disciplined, and more equipped for whatever comes next.We’re proud of the relationships we’ve built with athletes and families, and we encourage anyone who wants to know who we are to talk to the families and athletes who have experienced the program firsthand.
